Sector Meetings
Schedule for Standard Meetings
Sector meetings are usually held on the first and third fridays of every month. They start at 8:00PM (although people should start showing up between 7:00 and 8:00) and go to whenever they are concluded, officially about 10:00PM. This is variable however due to Sector activities and prefrences of those attending the meetings. Meetings always start off with a Bible Study, or Faith Building activity. Next is the Sector Meeting itself, which involves going over Sector business, and making future plans. After the Sector Meeting, everyone participates in the group prayer. The meeting is then concluded by a group fun activity, or hangout time.
Sectors will often adjourn for the summer from the middle of June to after Labor Day. During this time they may also choose to switch over to a Summer Meeting Schedule, during which a different configuration for meetings may be followed. These alterations are determined by the Sector Commander and Staff, and vary from Sector to Sector.
All C.A.A. Units are Sector based, and hold meetings. However units other then Civilian Ops may choose to either conglomerate in whole or partially, their meetings with the friday Civilian Ops Meetings; or hold their own meetings entirely following their own meeting schedule. This is determined by the prefrences and resources of the Sector and units involved, as well as the Council.
Bible Study and Faith Building
The Bible Studies and Faith Building activities are the core of the Sector Meetings. Since the whole purpose of the C.A.A. is to glorify God and do his Will here on Earth. To do this correctly, we need to be actively connected to him. We do this through the Bible Studies and Faith Building. Bible Studies and Faith Building comprise activities such as reading out of the Bible, watching videos and reading faith related media, and discussing Christianity and what it means to be a Christian in general. Besides building our own faith further, we try to help spread the word to non-believers and those who are lost, through these activities. Further spreading the faith and God's message of goodwill.
Sector Meeting
The Sector Meeting itself always concludes all meetings. It comprises of everyone sitting down and discussing the function of the Sector itself. Topics usually include the financial status of the Sector, general C.A.A. news and anouncements, planning future Sector outings, projects, or fundraisers, and an overview of events of the past Sector Meeting. This is the only part of the meeting where rank and position within the Sector matters, as Officers within the Sector are tasked with managing certain areas of Sector Operation, and must make a report of current status. The assigned Officer must also fill out and complete the C.A.A. Sector Meeting overview form, which is then submitted to Central Command at the end of the meeting. This form documents the overall operation of the Sector. It is used to monitor and maintain that the Sector is operated and functioning correctly. Once all business has been discussed, and all decisions made, the Sector Meeting is then officially concluded by a prayer given by the Sector Commander, or a volunteer.
Group Prayer
The group prayer always closes the Sector Meeting. It follows no specific format, and is an opportunity to hear prayer concerns, and to pray for specific things. The Group prayer is usually led by the Sector Commander, or a designated prayer leader, but may be lead by a volunteer.
Post Meeting Activities
Several Sectors may choose to have activities immediatly follow the Sector Meeting, these are usually things such as group activities/hangout time, Band practice (If the Sector has a Band), or group workout (PT) sessions.
Fellowship Nights
Fellowship nights take place on the Fridays in between meetings, and add the pure fun element to the C.A.A. group. Activities are always light-hearted in nature, and include things like playing group games, or even just watching a movie together. The purpose of it is to strengthen the personel bond between all those attending meetings, and to break the ice for new members. It also acts as a vehicle to attract new members to the organization, and to get them to a position where they can hear the Word of God. Refreshements are usually served during Fellowship Nights, as well as at meetings. Fellowship Nights follow no specific guidlines, and vary greatly, the only real rule is that everyone must have fun! Fellowship Nights start at 7:00 and are usually held the second and fourth Fridays of every month.
