Unit Designations
Basic C.A.A. Unit Breakdown
The Christian Service Army has four main unit catagories.  The main one is the "Army" structure which most of the C.A.A. is catagorized under.  The other three systems belong to the Black-7 Unit BARC.  BARC handles vehicles and navigation for the C.A.A. and has four seperate rank and catagorizing systems.  One for crews of each vehicle type.  Naval for water vehicles, Ground for ground vehicles, Air for flying vehicles, and the normal Army system for non-vehicle personnel.  All units share the same designations down to the point of Legion.  However the commanding officer ranks differ depending on the type of unit it is.  All four catagories utalize the Legion designation, but the exact structural make-up of the Legion itself differs as to which type of Legion it is, and who the Legion is assigned to.  The differences when they occur are listed in color.

Personnel and Unit Assignments

Legion Personnel Assignments
C.A.A. Legions are assigned to a specific Black-7 Unit or sub-Unit according to the overall assigned purpose of the Legion.  However Legions are not made up of personnel from only their assigned parent Unit.  Legions are comprised from assigned personnel from many other Black-7s and sub-Units.  The reason Legions are made up of personnel from other parents, is because those personnel are assigned to the Legion to accomplish a task or purpose for that Legion that is of the same general interest of their original units.  Such as BCD Troopers assigned for Comms duties, or BARC Troopers assigned for driving duties.  Since Legions comprise varied personnel, the personnel who are not from the Legions assigned parent, still retain their original parent Black-7 or Unit, but yet are fully a part of the Legion. The Trooper's Shoulder Rank Traingle wil indicate what Parent Unit that Trooper is from, and that he or she is assigned to that Legion.

Task Forces
Task forces can consist of entire Legions being assigned to work together, but usually involve Legion Elements working together and outside the bounds of their parent Legions.  Task Forces are usually temporary arrangements to provide support for specific operations.  For example a BARC Company being assigned to Task Force with a Civilian Ops Legion or Legion Element to provide transportation for a given scenario.  Elements that work with another Legion long term, are usually Dettached to that Legion, adopting it as it's parent.

Dettachements
Dettachements are Legion Elements who are assigned or deployed seperate from their parent Legion, or other Legion Elements.  Dettachements are used when only one Element and it's supbordinates are needed for a specific mission or task.  Sometimes Dettachements are assigned to work along side, but not neccesarily with, other C.A.A. Units.

Attachements
Attachement is when C.A.A. Legion Elements, or Personnel, are assigned to work with another Legion or Element for an extended period of time, or mission.  Attachements allow personnel and Elements to become "honorary" members of another Legion or unit for the the deration of a mission or task.  Attached Units are only their to accomplish a specific task or purpose, and retain their original Legion affiliation and markings while Attached.

Home Legions
Home Legions are the backbone unit structures behind Sectors.  Home Legions are usually Service Legions belonging to Civilian Operations.  Their primary focus is the operation of the Sector they are assigned to, and a logical location to assign personnel associated with that Sector and it's operations.  Each Sector has a Home Legion assigned to it.  Home Legions are usually comprised of personnel and Elements of other Black-7s.  Home Legion Personnel recieve only rudimentary training as their main purpose is community service and operation of that Sector.

Ops Legions
Ops Legions are Legions created for a specific mission or purpose.  Ops Legions exist only to fill specific needs and tasks, and can have it's Elements based in multiple Sectors in conjunction with the Sector's Home Legion.  Ops Legions function like any other Legion, they just have the ability to essentially be based in multiple Sectors at one time.  Ops Legion personnel undergo more training and must recieve continued training because of the fact that Ops Legions each have a specific assigned reason to exist.  Because of this, Ops Legion personnel are usually more advanced then Home Legion personnel.

Home Ops Legions
Home Ops Legions are a hybrid combination of the two above Legion Types.  Home Ops Legions have a specific purpose to fulfill, and are assigned to a parent unit usually other than Civilian Ops, it's personnel also recieve more advanced training, and frequent re-training.  But like a Home Legion, Home Ops Legions are assigned to only one Sector, and act as that Sector's Home Legion.  Home Ops Legions therefore have two duties, the assigned purpose of that Legion, and the Civilian Ops service and outreach mission of a Home Legion.

Reserve Legions
Reserve Legions are Legions that exist for personnel that are Commissioned in the C.A.A. but are only called upon when needed, or in times of emergency.  Reserve personnel are not required to be as active as normal personnel, and are fully Commissioned.  Reserve Legions function much the same as Specialty Legions in that their Elements can be based in multiple Sectors.  Reserve Legions stay dormant until called upon, but do train every so often to stay current and ready.
