The War
We are soldiers. And this is war. This is not just any war, however. This war does not exist like a conventional war. Often times you cannot see it, cannot feel it, but it is war much the same. It claims lives, ruins families, and destroys. I'm talking about the war against evil, corruption, and sin. Light vs dark, God vs Satan, right vs wrong. That's the war I'm talking about. It rages on, never ending.
This war is not fought by conventional means. Faith, community service, random acts of kindness, compassion, peace, love. These are some of the weapons we wield in this struggle. Our enemy is great however. Deceit, greed, corruption, anger, hate, and much more. These are his weapons. They are built into us as well, but we deny them use, for we follow the word and strength of God.
The war keeps raging, keeps claiming lives, and keeps destroying. But we will stand for it no more! We have been mobilized by God. As his soldiers, his army, to fight in this war. We do this mainly through service to the community, building awareness, and through positive projects and programs, and by leading by example, showing in our lives what it means to be Christian. Our Credo and Morality Code keep us on the path, and going in the right direction. We follow God in all our dealings, he is our Commander in Chief. We are Christians, Christians who want to make a change.
No longer do we sit idle as people in need slip through the cracks of society. We want to make a stand, make a difference, be a force for light, for the common good, for God. Through this organization we are now mobilized, our mission clear. We want to change the world. And we want to do it not by violence or revolution. No, we want to do it through selfless acts of community service, kindness, and love. By truly living as Christians should, we spread the faith, and make the world a better place.
Our mission and goals defined, we now assume our role in this war. Adding ourselves to the countless other Christians, Christian organizations, and ministries God is fielding to accomplish the goals he has set in place. To live as Christians, to follow his word, and to serve others selflessly. We are the Central Aid Agency, Christian Service Army and we are here to serve.
About our organization
The Central Aid Agency, Christian Service Army is a registered non-profit humanitarian aid organization, dedicated to community service, and so much more. We follow a structured military like system for efficiency in operation. However we also advocate free-thinking and personal decision making, so our system is a hybrid specially tailored for our own specific needs. We also wear uniforms and follow a Uniform Code. This is to convey proffesionalism, and also to draw attention away from our own personal appearences, and direct it to the cause we stand for.
Basically we are for God. Our whole purpose is to serve him, and to spread the Christian Faith. However, we also believe that faith is a very personal decision, and relationship with God. Therefore, we never push our faith on anyone. Rather our view is, that through our activities, we can attract attention to our cause, and act as examples of what it means to truly be a Christian. This way we do not force our faith on anyone, and leave the decision up to them, but are available if they want to learn more.
We are split into 7 main units. These are called the Black-7 since they are each led by a Black Commander. These 7 make up the bulk of the C.A.A. Council, which commands and operates the C.A.A. through a democatic system. We are strong believers in democracy and freedom, therefore our core structure is based on these principles.
The Black-7 also represent the 7 basic main interests of the C.A.A. as an organization. One of these, and one of the most important in our eyes, is science. One of our goals is to strike down the notion that science and Christianity are incompatible. We believe that not only are they compatible, but that they in fact rely on each other. So promoting science is one of our key missions.
We also do not tolerate any sort of racism or sexism. God made man and woman, in his image, and in all colors. We are all God's people, and hold the same rights and responsibilities as such. Therefore we do not concern ourselves with race or gender. All are welcome in the C.A.A., and all are equal.
One big family
One of our mottos in the C.A.A. is "family is more then blood". To us the C.A.A. is a family, and all of us in it are all "brothers and sisters". We are a very close-knit group, we watch over each other, encourage each other, and help each other along. This family also extends to all Christians, and all of those united in our one goal of serving God and others.
Basically throughout the C.A.A. the theme is the same. That theme is to be Christian, in the actual sense. To live, and act, and walk, and talk for God. That's the whole point of it all. We are his hands, his feet, his face, and it is our honor to serve him. And as a result of it all, the whole world benefits. Really a pretty sweet deal when you think about it. We have our Credos, various rules and regulations about morality, and codes of honor and conduct, but these are only words, only things. They exist for one purpose only, that purpose is to remind us why we are here, and what our purpose is, as people, as citizens, as Christians. This is our duty, our mission, and our greatest blessing, our opportunity to serve.
Star Wars Fans
The C.A.A. was started by 7 Christians who were very much hard core Star Wars fans. The C.A.A. was and still is, a Star Wars fan organization. But we wanted to be more than a grouping of fans, we wanted to take the ultimate geek apporach, and make it real. Because of this desire, the original creators of the C.A.A. instilled some Star Wars fanism into the organization, and we still draw from the Star Wars universe for names, inspiration, and language. So as you browse our site, you will notice many of our emblems, names, designations, language, font, and sayings are tye-ins to the Star Wars universe. We are not affiliated with Lucasfilm in anyway, we just are fans of their work. You don't have to be a Star Wars fan to be in the C.A.A. however, but it does help. The whole Star Wars-C.A.A. connection is yet another way that we are striving to be something new, something different. We're part Christian Service Group, Part Star Wars fan group, and part Salvation Army, with a whole bunch of other things thrown in there as well. All in an attempt to make very serious issues a little more fun, and have a new and different apporach to solving them.
So, what are you waiting for?
The C.A.A. is not an exclusive club, anyone is welcome to join. In fact that's our goal, to get as many people on board as possible. You see the more people we have, the more of an impact we can have. If we as Christians get out there, and prove what it means to be a Christians, putting others first, and just serving, then we set an example. We prove what the faith is all about. When that happens we are beacons of God's light. When we make ourselves examples, and put ourselves out there where we can interact with the public, then we gather attention and intrest. God uses us top spread his message of good news and hope. His love and his light. And the more people we have, the more of an impact we can make, the more impact the greater we can spread God's love. We all benefit, there are no downsides, no negatives.
The joy you feel from service is more then enough reward, but for those who are unconvinced there are other benefits of joining the C.A.A. they are:
-Community service hours. Trying to get service hours for graduating highschool? The C.A.A. is a non-profit organization, therefore all time spent on official duties count as Community Service.
-Resumes. Volunteering and being involved with a non-profit or service group always looks good on a resume when you're trying to convince the boss that you're the right one for the job.
-Networking. Many friends, contacts, and connections are made through service with the C.A.A. As I've said before, we're a big family, newcomers are accepted in immediatly, and before long feel right at home. Not to mention all the associates and contacts made through the various avenues offered by the C.A.A.
-Training opportunities. The C.A.A. offers many opportunities for real world training through the C.A.A. Academy, and by participating in C.A.A. projects and programs. These training opportunities cover many different areas, from science to survivial, and it's all entirely free to C.A.A. members.
-Something to do with your life. This one depends on the person of course, but many people have found new focus and purpose through service in the C.A.A.
-It's fun. We always have a lot of fun, although we may appear serious, and at times are, we also are a very light-hearted and fun loving group. From our activities, to meetings, to outings, to just hanging out, we always have a great time no matter what.
